Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of perceived restorativeness on revisit intention, with place attachment as an intervening variable among visitors to urban forests in Jakarta. The study was conducted at four urban forests: GBK City Forest, Tebet Eco Park, Srengseng City Forest, and Kemayoran City Forest. A quantitative approach was employed involving 250 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The respondents were required to have prior visiting experience at one of the four research locations: GBK City Forest, Tebet Eco Park, Srengseng City Forest, or Kemayoran City Forest. The results indicate that perceived restorativeness has a positive and significant effect on both place attachment and revisit intention. Furthermore, place attachment has a positive and significant effect on revisit intention. The indirect effect analysis confirms that place attachment significantly mediates the relationship between perceived restorativeness and revisit intention. These findings indicate that restorative experiences can strengthen visitors’ attachment to urban forests and subsequently encourage revisit intentions. The study provides implications for urban forest management in supporting restorative experiences and sustainable visitor engagement.
