Conflict of Interest

Tourism Research Journal (TRJ) is committed to ensuring that editorial decisions are made independently, objectively, and transparently.

Authors, editors, and reviewers are required to disclose any financial or non-financial interests that could reasonably be perceived to influence their judgment or involvement in the research or publication process.

Authors should disclose relevant conflicts of interest in their submitted manuscripts. If no conflicts exist, authors should include a declaration stating that there are no conflicts of interest to disclose. Authors must also disclose sources of research funding and any relevant relationships that could influence the conduct, interpretation, or reporting of their research.

Editors and reviewers must notify the editorial team of any circumstances that could compromise their impartiality. These may include personal relationships, professional collaborations, financial interests, institutional affiliations, or other competing interests involving the authors or the subject of the manuscript.

Where a conflict of interest is identified, the journal will take appropriate measures to protect the integrity of the editorial process. These measures may include assigning an alternative editor or reviewer.

Disclosure of a conflict of interest does not automatically result in manuscript rejection. The purpose of disclosure is to promote transparency and protect the integrity of research, peer review, and editorial decision-making.
