Manuscript Types

Tourism Research Journal (TRJ) publishes scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in tourism and related fields. The journal welcomes original research articles, review articles, and short communications addressing relevant theoretical, empirical, methodological, and practical issues in tourism.

The journal's scope includes, but is not limited to, sustainable tourism development, community-based tourism, nature-based tourism, creative tourism, tourism marketing, smart tourism, gastronomy, destination planning and management, hospitality, tourism education and training, tourism economics, and tourism policy.

Submitted manuscripts must demonstrate academic rigor, originality, relevance to the journal's scope, and a clear contribution to tourism scholarship. Research articles should present a clearly defined research problem, appropriate theoretical foundations, a transparent methodology, a systematic analysis of findings, and conclusions supported by the research evidence.

TRJ publishes research-based scholarly work rather than manuscripts whose primary purpose is to report community service or community outreach activities without a substantial research contribution.
