Authorship Criteria

Tourism Research Journal (TRJ) requires authors to make substantial scholarly contributions to the research and the preparation of the manuscript.

To qualify for authorship, individuals must make substantial contributions to the conception or design of the study; the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of research data; or the development of the manuscript. All authors must participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content, approve the final version, and accept responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of their contributions.

Individuals who provide administrative assistance, funding, technical support, data collection assistance without substantial intellectual contribution, or other services that do not meet the authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately rather than listed as authors.

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed authors have approved the final manuscript and agreed to its submission to TRJ. The order of authorship must be agreed upon by all authors before submission.

Gift authorship, ghost authorship, and the omission of individuals who meet the authorship criteria are not permitted. Any changes to authorship after submission must be justified, agreed upon by all affected authors, and approved by the editorial team.
